I am majoring in Computer Science with a specialization in intelligent systems (Artificial Intelligence) at Taylor University. I should graduate in 2016. After that, I am considering pursuing a master's degree in Computer Science with some sort of specialization in Artificial Intelligence.

I started memorizing Scripture seriously when attending my church camp, Camp Emmanuel. We spent a good 45 minutes a day trying to memorize as much as we could from a set of 100+ verses and 15 or so passages. So after having attended this camp for a couple years, I decided to write down all the verses on index cards like my sister had done. After my senior year in high school, the last year I could attend Camp Emmanuel, I gave my index cards to a younger friend who liked the idea of having the verses on index cards as well.

Even before giving away my index cards, I realized there had to be a better way to memorize Scripture (or any text for that matter). I had been programming for my brother's and my website, ProjectionHub, and I figured I could build a website with hints available for when you get stuck.

I started my freshman year at Taylor though and was feeling pretty busy. But toward the end of my freshman year the professor of my introductory Computer Science class showed us something called Cluster Analysis. This was my first taste of Artificial Intelligence. I was intrigued and later thought I could use this to make that memorization website smart by telling the user which verse required the most attention. One problem with my index cards had been reviewing my verses. Some verses require more attention than others, and who has the time to figure this out for 100+ verses? This was intriguing enough to finally get me started on the website. After some research, I found an algorithm that fit my goal much better than Cluster Analysis.

So after confirming that I could freely use the ESV translation on this hypothetical website, I began building it.

Aaron is majoring in both Graphic Design and Photography at Grace College and is planning on graduating in 2015.

Aaron designed the logo for MemorEquip as a favor for his friend, Brandon. Other than creating the logo he also assisted in giving critiques during the entire process of the creation of MemorEquip. Aaron was even there from the start of the idea, giving ideas while sitting at classical music concerts during his internship in the summer of 2013. He was responsible for the countless hours of work Brandon put in the website.

Aaron hopes that this website is helpful in as many ways possible and that it is an aesthetically and visually pleasing experience.

Not only is everything above true, but Aaron is also 100% owner of MemorEquip. When negotiating his pay for creating the logo for MemorEquip, Brandon agreed to give him the entire "business" since we cannot legally accept money without further permission from the ESV right's holder Crossway.
